The 2nd Sancti Petri Concert Music Festival was presented on May 1st, 2019, at Seville’s Gran Meliá Colón Hotel. In attendance were representatives of the Junta de Andalucía, Cádiz Council, Chiclana de la Frontera City Council and the company organizing the event, Concert Tour, from Cádiz. Everyone highlighted the consolidation of this festival, only one year old, as one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer tourist season, not just in Andalusia, but in all Spain.

The second edition of this festival, which will have twice as many events as the first edition, will take place between July 6th and September 1st, starting one week earlier than originally planned, in order to accommodate the almost fifty national and international artists who will perform in its two stages. Besides music, there will be also humour and performances geared towards children.

Flamenco will also be featured, like in the previous edition, with more concerts and a greater variety of styles, from traditional flamenco jondo to the so-called flamenco fusion. Miguel PovedaAntonio ReyesJosé MercéTomatito and Estrella Morente will take part of the extensive lineup, as well as Diana NavarroEl Arrebato, Ketama and the group Siempre así.

The Concert Music Festival will be held at Sancti Petri, an old fishing town in the municipality of Chiclana de la Frontera, originally founded by Phoenicians, which had been totally abandoned. Surrounded by an impressive pine forest and the Sancti Petri canal, with its sports marina and the spectacular Barrosa beach, it has the greatest concentration of hotels in the province of Cádiz.
