Flamenco continues to make inroads in the international scene, and it looks like 2021 is starting to shed some light on the map of festivals of this art genre. The eight edition of the Biënnale Flamenco NL 2021 will take place in the Netherlands between January 22nd and February 7th, 2021. After many turns and some uncertainty, the organizers have come up with a festival combining live and streamed performances.

«We will bring a very special festival for the eight edition of Holland’s Flamenco Biënnale. Besides our small and exclusive live performances, many of our shows will be available on the Internet. We will feature high quality streaming, created to maximize your online experience. Wherever you are in the world, this year’s special edition will be accessible to everyone», explained this event’s official website.

The first part of the festival will take place in Amsterdam and Utrech on the given dates. On the other hand, the organizers are preparing a continuation of this event in November 2021, when more of the country’s cities are expected to take part. The festival will continue with a program of parallel activities such as the screening of audiovisual content, conferences, masterclasses, workshops and flamenco activities for children.
