An original and magical show, on Friday, April 4, at the Sala Compañía in Jerez de la Frontera brought the project to a close on Spanish soil. FlamencoJanuary, an initiative promoted by Casa África, the Cultural Center of Spain in Bata and the Cultural Center of Spain in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) and with the collaboration of the candidacy Jerez 2031 European Capital of Culture, the General Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE) and the Association of Performers and Performers (AIE).
The purpose of FlamencoGen was to make known Africa's contribution to the flamenco, and this has been amply demonstrated. The result has been “magical,” he explains. Cristina Ramos, CEO of the cultural production company Bunji Kuraki and where the idea for the project was born FlamencoGen. “Everything has flowed here, nothing has been forced. The second stage of this first edition of FlamencoJanuary will take place in October in Equatorial Guinea, where on this occasion, the artists will be flamencoThose who will travel to Africa to meet with their Equatorial Guinean counterparts and continue the intercultural dialogue. The second part of the creative laboratory will take place there, as well as a show in the Cultural Centre of Spain in Malabo and another in the Cultural Center of Spain in Bata, which will demonstrate the mutual enrichment and musical fusion resulting from this project.
