'The title is a bit cinematic,' our guest explains during the online interview we held before the premiere of Chronicle of an Event. Perhaps because Antonio Gades' contributions to the big screen have served as an inspiration for the show that Rafael Ramírez has prepared for the 29th Festival de Jerez.
The work will be performed on March 4th and the Malaga dancer clarifies that it is not intended to be a typical biographical show or to try to imitate the great Gades. His tone revolves around the fundamental milestones, seen as turning points, of the legacy left to us by this immense artist, a key link in the Spanish gestural tradition. Because as Rafael Ramírez states, Antonio Gades was ahead of his time, both as a dancer, dancer and choreographer, always trying to give a social message in all his creations.
