Tablao Los Olvidados bets on quality flamenco in Granada

Tablao flamenco ‘Los Olvidados’, a venue located in a 16th century mansion, opens in April. Its program is titled ‘Granada, come to the tablao’

Tablao Los Olvidados is making a clear bet on high-level flamenco in Granada. Its series Granada, acércate al tablao  (‘Granada, come to the tablao’) will feature renowned artists, both local and from other cities, of the stature of Jaime El Parrón, Antonio Campos and Juan Ángel Tirado. To these stars we must add great guitarists such as Luis Mariano, Álvaro Martinete and Manuel Fernández plus well-established bailaores of Granada such as Adrián Sánchez, Fuensanta La Moneta, Alba Heredia and Cristina Aguilera, among others. Besides, we ought to highlight the visit of Hugo López, winner of the prestigious Desplante award in the 2018 Festival de las Minas de La Unión, in Murcia. The bailaora from Jerez Gema Moneo has also confirmed her participation.

Granada, acércate al tablao is a bet on organizing quality shows. It’s not just a matter of hiring the best artists, but having them perform in a different stage, as this tablao is located in a 16th century mansion, the Palacio de los Olvidados, at the foot of the Alhambra on Carrera del Darro. This adds a singular touch, differentiating this venue from others featuring live performances.

Aiming to promote flamenco among all the people of Granada, there is a special admission price, 10 euros, for all residents of the city and its province.

The lineup for the next months hasn’t been finalized yet, but the tablao has indicated that there will be «many more surprises that will be announcing».
